As I sit here writing today. I started off having a totally crappy day. Why so crappy you ask? For absolutely no reason! You know those days where you just can’t put your finger on it, but you just feel like the whole universe is just out to get you and its so out of whack? Well that’s me today.

Now, like we promised from day one of launching LifeSushi. This is not going to be some “life is a bowl of cherries” entry where I try and tell you everything is fine, because I definitely feel otherwise today.

But, what I am going to do is share with you the tricks I’m going to use to try to convince myself that, “I am in control and there are some things I can do to thrust myself back into a everything is going to be fine type of mood!”  We are human after all and we all are going to have our good days and our bad days.

So after a long morning to which I got to the  point of where I had enough of feeling sorry for myself I decided to make my move….Here are few things I did today to help fix my “mind wreckers!”

1st - I “pulled myself together.” Meaning I put on something that made me feel good. Now, I must disclose this tad bit of information, as it’s a little tougher for me to do in my current state, as I am at this moment 6 months pregnant with my 1st child. Getting dressed everyday much less looking cute is somewhat of a challenge. However, I was able to manage and I am not feeling so dreadful after a little refining. It’s true what they say getting yourself all dolled up can actually start the light at the end of the tunnel shining.

2nd – I have made arrangements to have lunch with a business contact/ friend I really enjoy visiting with. I find this to be sometimes my best fix for “snapping out of it!” Sometimes just surrounding your self with people who inspire you or make you laugh is all the “slap in the face” you need to get on with your life already! This particular friend I’m lunching with today is a dynamic/creative girl. She works in the broadcast industry and always has some inspiring fun news to share. Just the thing I need today! It also doesn’t hurt that we are dining at a hip spot with great food! Bonus!

3rd – I’m changing my venue/environment for the day. This is another thing that seems to help as well. I’ve decided to take my office to a satellite location this afternoon, one of my favorite coffee shops that over looks Lake Austin in Austin, Texas. It’s such a great relaxing place to work and it’s always filled with lots of people who are also working, creating, studying, and the like. I always find it kicks me into hyper productive mode when I’m here! In fact, I was inspired to sit here at this very moment and crank out this very article to share with you! As I sat here working I figured if I was going through “one of those days”, you just might be too!

We have to stick together on those crazy days ya know?

So, there ya go.  In a matter of 3 easy steps I have managed to dramatically change my day. I can only imagine if I had not decided to do something about the way I was feeling as I embarked on this “out of no where bluesy Tuesday.”

So, just by changing up 3 things during my daily routine, I have managed to survive yet another random un-disaster like day.
